REMINDERS ABOUT DOG AND CAT LICENSES

Dog licensing occurs January 1-31.
Cat licensing occurs May 1-31.

Dog and Cat License Fees
  License fee for spayed/neutered* pet  $10.00
  License fee for non-spayed/non-neutered pet $13.00
  Delinquent fee**  $5.00 for every month dog/cat license application is late
  * Proof is required for spayed/neutered pet.
** Late fee does not apply to license applications for new pets.


Rabies Vaccinations (Proof is required.)

For Dogs: STATE LAW requires that in order to ISSUE A LICENSE, the rabies vaccination MUST NOT EXPIRE PRIOR TO NOVEMBER 1 of the licensing year. To qualify for a license in 2024,the dog rabies vaccination expiration date has to be valid until November 1, 2024 or license will NOT be issued as per the State of New Jersey.

For Cats(May): STATE LAW requires that order to ISSUE A LICENSE the rabies vaccination MUST NOT EXPIRE PRIOR TO  MARCH 1, 2024 for the 2023 licensing year and March 1, 2025 for the 2024 licensing year.

To determine vaccine eligibility please bring your pet's vaccination records.

They will continue with the drive thru model that was started three years ago.  Residents will remain in their cars at all times.  Staff will guide residents and will take away the pet – either a dog by a leash or a cat or small dog in an appropriate carrier as provided by the resident – to get its rabies shot.
