The Mayor’s Traffic & Pedestrian Task Force is a committee of community stakeholders whose
main purpose is to survey, facilitate, initiate, and/or advise the Mayor and Council on effective
ways to improve traffic conditions throughout Dunellen. Together residents, council members,
law enforcement, health, and school officials discuss areas of concern related to traffic and
pedestrian safety to recommend the prioritization of improvements, and use of available or
potential resources.

MTAPS works collaboratively with several municipal and county transportation management
associations and resources, including:

Keep Middlesex Moving, Inc
NJ Transit Friendly Planning Program
New Jersey Department of Transportation’s Complete & Green Streets for All
Alan M. Voorhees Transportation Center at Rutgers

Through continued partnerships with state and county resources, committee members are
informed on current and effective methods to incorporate traffic calming measures and designs.
As we continue to work toward increasing community safety and awareness, we’d like to invite
interested community members to join us. If you are interested please sign up to volunteer or
email mtpst@dunellenborough.com.
