Dunellen Municipal Alliance

Mun Alliance Logo)

The Dunellen Municipal Alliance is a community based volunteer organization representing families, schools and businesses along with faith based and nonprofit organizations in Dunellen. Working together, Alliance members implement a strategic plan to decrease misuse and abuse of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs, especially as they relate to our youth.

HARVEST FEST
Here’s a few of our ideas:

  •  Fun activities for teens by teens!  Quarterly Teen Events
  • Educational programming in the schools focused on substance abuse prevention.
  • Advocating for municipal laws geared toward making our community safer and healthier.
  • Engaging Dunellen businesses and organizations to build a responsible community environment for all.

Email Terri and Diana at dunellenma@gmail.com, introduce yourself and let us know how you want to assist or how we can help you. Whether you are a teenager, or just think like one, we would love to hear from you.

We meet at the Recreation at 7:30 pm. We welcome everyone to participate, share your ideas, and help to make Dunellen the best it can be.

This year the Alliance has continued to educate and inform the community about substance misuse, mental health issues and stopping the stigma related to these issues.
We work with students in grades 1-12, meet with community by tabling at community events, hosting Town Hall meetings and collaborating with the Mayor and Council to tackle tough issues affecting our community.
This year we are very proud to have provided anti-bullying training to the DHS Peer Leaders. They in turn did small group discussions with students in grades 6-9. We were happy to help plan and participate in the Mayoral Town Hall "It Takes a Village, Supporting Dunellen's Youth"
