Annual ad hoc task force appointed by the Mayor.
The task force will consist of no more than 11 members which will include
members from the business community, Board of Education, Police Department,
Dunellen governing body, and residents.
Meets bi-monthly on the third Monday at 6:00 pm in the Recreation Office. The
Mayor’s Traffic & Pedestrian Task Force’s main focus will be to educate the public
on traffic and pedestrian safety through municipal and county resources such as
Keep Middlesex Moving and Middlesex County’s Slow Down in our Town
initiative. The task force will also work with NJTPA Complete Streets Study that
was recently obtained through an application completed by Mayor Jason Cilento,
Council Member Stacy Narvesen and Dunellen Planning Board Member Julie
Grof. In addition, the task force will study and advise the Mayor and Council
whether the Complete Streets program is a feasible program to enhance
pedestrian safety in Dunellen under to NJDOT’s Complete Street model.
