The Dunellen Arts & Culture Commission with the help of the Dunellen Library will be covering the parking meter poles with fiber art to add some color to the downtown. The project will be on display from April 1 to May 30.
Also, we don't want to stop with just the downtown area... cover your porch swing, your planters, your banisters and share your photos #dunellenyarnbomb
To participate, crochet, knit or weave a 9.5in W x 31in H rectangle using BRIGHT acrylic yarn (no sequins, beads, etc; no political messaging ) - stripes/granny squares/have fun!
We have about 60 meters to cover so please share this info. And make sure to walk downtown during the months of April and May to admire your handiwork and support our local businesses...
** Pieces become property of DACC and may be used for future projects
